The University of Chicago College offers undergraduate programs
with South Asian studies concentrations. Graduate programs are
offered through the divisions and schools, drawing upon forty-eight
faculty with research and teaching
interests in South Asia. During the past
decade students have graduated with South Asia B.A.s, M.A.s, and Ph.D.s in
twenty-five departments and six professional programs. Neither
the Committee on Southern Asian Studies nor the South Asia Language
and Area Center
grant degrees themselves.
